Robert Brooks Killed by US Cops
In a tragic and unfortunate incident, the correctional officers at a prison in New York City assaulted Robert Brooks, 43. He was pronounced dead after the shocking assault. A newly released video from the bodycam of one of the officers shows that correctional officers at the prison are beating Robert Brooks repeatedly. The officers at the prison repeatedly pummelled the handcuffed Robert Brooks. They also struck him with shoes lifted him with his neck and dropped him repeatedly.
The body cam footage of Robert Brooks’ assault was released by the Attorney General who is now investigating the tragic and brutal incident.

Robert Brooks was pronounced dead the next morning after the assault at Marcy Correctional Facility, a state prison where was incarcerated in Oneida County.
According to a statement by New York Governor Kathy Hochul, thirteen correctional officers and a nurse involved in the Robert Brooks Killing will face termination. Kathy Hochul stated, “ I am horrified and outraged by the video of “Senseless Killing”.
The video shows that the correctional officers were repeatedly punching Robert Brooks in the face and groin as he sat on the examination table handcuffed. One of the officers used his shoe to strike Brooks in the stomach. Another officer lifts him by the neck and drops him back on the table. The officers then removed his shirt and pants while Brooks lay motionless.
The Attorney General of New York Letitia James has advised the viewers, saying, “These videos are shocking and disturbing and I advise everyone to take appropriate care before choosing to watch them.”
How did Robert Brooks die?
The victim likely died from asphyxia caused by neck compression, according to a medical examination. The death was attributed to the actions of others. The bodycam footage has no audio because the officers hadn’t activated the cameras. Following the incident, a directive was issued requiring body cameras to be used during all staff interactions with inmates. An investigation into the use of force is ongoing, but it’s unclear if any officers will face charges.
What was Robert Brooks doing at the facility?
Rober Brooks was serving a 12-year prison sentence for first-degree assault. He had arrived at the Marcy Correctional Facility only hours before the assault.
Marcy is approximately 200 miles (323 kilometers) northwest of New York City, between the cities of Rome and Utica.
